Volunteers are needed at each bus stop to ensure safe and organized transportation to and from camp.
Check-In Captain: Arrives at each stop before Girl Scouts and Caregivers begin arriving. Takes initial attendance. Makes sure everyone has submitted their forms, payment and paperwork before being allowed to board the bus (confirmed based on roster provided by Camp Registrar).
Bus Captain: Collects any medications or epi-pens given to them by caregivers or ensures that those items stay in camper luggage. Receives the attendance roster from the Check-In Captains. Takes the bus to camp with Girl Scouts, providing safety instructions and supervision of campers. You will be served lunch and a return Metro-North train ticket when you arrive!
Dismissal Captain: Meets the caregivers and Girl Scouts getting dropped off at each bus stop (in the afternoon) and facilitates the dismissal process. Stays with the Girl Scouts until all Girl Scouts are dismissed.
